Postgraduate Scholarships for Counsellors – Up to $13,000 in Funding Available
The Victorian Department of Health is offering Allied Health and Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Postgraduate Scholarships for professionals commencing studies in 2025. This initiative aims to support counsellors working in Victorian public mental health or AOD services by providing financial assistance to pursue postgraduate education.
With funding of up to $13,000, these scholarships are designed to equip counsellors and other allied health professionals with the skills needed to provide high-quality care and contemporary treatment. Are you eligible?
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Professional Qualification:
You must be a qualified counsellor or other mental health professional (including youth workers, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and more). - Current Employment:
Applicants must be working in a state-funded mental health or AOD service (including non-government organisations). - Experience:
At least two years of cumulative work experience in your current discipline and sector. - Citizenship:
Open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens. - Education Commitment:
You must be enrolled or intending to enrol in a postgraduate course (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Master’s, or Doctorate) commencing in 2025.
