I am a Master of Counselling Graduate from Queensland University of Technology with a special interest in working with families and children.
For the last 4 years I have been working as a college counsellor supporting students from Prep - year 12. This has given me rich experiences with both students and families. I love working collaboratively within the school context to best support the students, families, and wider school community.
In 2024 I became a member of the ACA College of Supervisors and look forward to working within in a space I feel so passionate about.
In the United States, after graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I worked with primary school aged children in an Occupational Therapy setting which has been beneficial in my current work to make appropriate referrals when indicated.
I have also experienced working as Foster and Kinship Care Practitioner which allowed me to learn to manage complex caseloads and have a more in depth understanding of child protection.
All these various roles have given me valuable experience in working with many different types of families and children.
I predominately work from a Solution Focused and Narrative framework, however, utilize Neuroscience, ACT, CFT and Systemic therapeutic interventions depending on the needs of the client. Engaging in Collaborative Practice with both clients and Supervisee's allows for me to work in ways that best fit their needs while working together towards their goals
