I am a registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and am accredited with the International Holistic Medicine Practitioners (IPHM). Using integrative approaches I often incorporate talking therapy with embodiment, creative and experiential practices.  I am also the founder of The Business Therapist, providing complete business reviews and consulting/counselling for owners of small to medium and family businesses. Therapy with me takes an holistic approach and we work collaboratively, guided by your specific needs. I work with a variety of practices including but not limited to psychodynamic approaches, Art, Eco and Gestalt Therapies, Transactional Analysis, Body-Oriented Therapy and trauma informed care. I aim to meet you where you are at with a safe and comfortable environment.I work with experiences including stress and anxiety, chronic illness and vagus nerve damage, depression, complex trauma, bereavement, relationship and workplace issues, existential concerns and self exploration. I have interests in nutrition, biotoxin illness, psychoneuroimmunology and lessening stress through yogic wisdom.I bring lived experience in family financial abuse and complex trauma, chronic disease, sexual abuse and suicide death bereavement. I relate to carers of loved ones with Autism Spectrum Disorder, complex behavioural dysregulation and/ or psychosis. I believe therapy can deeply enrich our lives and that we are more likely to successfully integrate meaningful changes with facilitation and support in our corner."There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Maya AngelouClient testimonial: I find talking with Amber easy, comfortable and energising. When I step out of her room though, I realise the immense work we’ve done together – or that she’s helped me to do – to locate myself in time, in my body, and in my life in all its relationships, priorities and complexities. Opening up this reflective space helps me to imagine new possibilities for the future and create viable/nurturing pathways to get there.
