Andrew da Roza

Andrew da Roza is a qualified addictions psycho-therapist. He holds a Masters degree in counseling from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, a Masters in Science in Addiction Studies jointly from King's College, London, Adelaide University, Australia and Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. He is certified in Singapore as: an APCB Certified Substance Abuse Therapist; an APSAC Certified Substance Abuse Counsellor, a IAST Certified Master Solution-Focused Practitioner; and an HPB Certified Quit Smoking consultant. Andrew practices motivational interviewing and solution focused brief therapy to assist clients to identify their values, goals and strengths and to effect positive change in their lives. He also practices mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to help clients build skills for: distress tolerance; emotion regulation; interpersonal effectiveness; and relapse prevention and intervention. He also uses CBT and Narrative Therapy to change perspectives and replace counterproductive thoughts and behaviours. Well connected to the recovery group community, Andrew understands the power of the 12 steps and providing service to the wider community. Andrew practiced as lawyer for over 25 years and has a BA in law from Kent University, U.K. and a Masters in law from King’s College, London. He also has an Executive MBA, jointly from Kellogg, Northwestern University and HKUST.
