Anita Geary

Anita has a strong passion for delivering animal assisted therapy and working alongside clients who are struggling to heal from their own unique experiences of trauma. Anita has been working with children and young people in various roles since 1998. Over the past 15 years, Anita has worked passionately in the child and family services sector and the family violence sector supporting over 1000 children, adults and families to establish safety, heal from trauma, and achieve their goals. She has supported many individuals across many socio-economic backgrounds to achieve stronger family relationships, decreased challenging behaviours, more connected social relationships, and create safe and stable homes. Anita's style is gentle, collaborative, and intentional. She focusses on building a relationship with each client which places them as the leader in their own work and supports both physical and emotional safety. Anita sets the tone for each client to begin where they are at, both emotionally and developmentally, and believes this to be integral to her client’s success in achieving their therapeutic goals.
