April has a Masters of Counselling and is accredited at level 2 through the Australian Counselling Association. She is experienced in working with teenagers who experience anxiety and has recently worked as a high school counsellor.April has an in depth knowledge and understanding of how social anxiety impacts young peoples lives. As part of her Thesis, she developed a CBT and mindfulness skill building program for early adolescents suffering from social anxiety in a school setting. This program is currently being run in a Geelong High School.April is open to working with a variety of concerns, and understands that hardship can come in many forms. Be it life transitions, family stress, grief, depression or addiction, April’s strengths based philosophy helps clients find understanding, courage and empowerment in their situation. April’s practice is grounded in a non-judgemental, affirming and person-centred approach. She is driven to help people of all life stages find satisfaction and purpose in life by realising their worth, value and strength.
