I'm a passionate Registered Counsellor and Mental Health Advocate who has been in the industry since 2017 working in a variety of mental health roles. During my time as a counsellor, I’ve utilised an integrative approach of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Rogerian humanistic therapy, strengths centered counselling, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Evidence-Based EFT, and Mindfulness-based Interventions in my Clinical Counselling sessions with clients. Adding to this, I’m also a trained Trauma-Informed Depth Psychotherapist, having been trained in Process-Oriented Psychotherapy/Process Work, a Post-Jungian somatic therapy tradition, and Existential Psychotherapy/Logotherapy.Using these therapies I have counselled clients who have suffered from a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, existential/life purpose issues, relationship breakdowns, grief and loss, compassion fatigue, clinically distressed levels of burnout, Post-Traumatic Stress, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual abuse, self-image problems, and anger issues. Alongside my counselling experience, I've also worked in Mental Health NGO's providing case management, psychosocial assessments, community and systemic advocacy, day to day mental health support, psychosocial coaching and liaising with Clinical Mental Health teams and external organisations. Most recently I have taken a short one-year contract working with Wellways Australia and the Ministry of Health/NSW Health within their Toward Zero Suicide Initiatives as a consultant, project officer, and state-wide strategy co-designer.
