I’m a registered counsellor and a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I have spent the last 20 years working within organisations to improve the lives of those in the community experiencing addiction, mental health issues, marginalisation, domestic and family abuse, trauma, physical and intellectual disability, life stage transitions, homelessness, and social isolation. I have a passion for working with those who feel disempowered, alone and stuck within their life circumstances. My goal is to work alongside clients, helping them identify what's holding them back and how they can move forward, to be the person they want to be, I work from a client centred, strengths based and solution focused perspective while integrating a range of therapeutic modalities. These include Person Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cogitative Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems. The approach used is tailored to the client’s individual needs and based on a strong collaborative relationship built on mutual trust and respect.
