Everyone is striving to grow and thrive, but sometimes we get hurt or stuck. Through creating genuine, accepting, and empathic relationships and using evidence-based methods, I seek to support clients through some of life's biggest challenges. Understanding how people go on living meaningful and fulfilling lives in the face of illness, trauma, death, loss, and grief are key themes in my work.
I have a specialised focus on working through emotional distress brought about by climate change, improving wellbeing for people and families at the end of life, grief and loss counselling, self-awareness counselling for counselling students, and clinical supervision.
I am a Level 4 Clinical Counsellor and Registered Supervisor with over 15 years of counselling experience. I have a PhD in Psychology from Curtin University and a Master of Counselling Psychology from the University of San Francisco. I was formerly a Senior Lecturer and the Head of Postgraduate Counselling courses at Murdoch University in Western Australia, and I currently serve as an Adjunct Professor for Yorkville University in Canada. I am available for online sessions and I prioritise accessibility through affordable rates.
