As parents, we often feel overwhelmed and overstimulated. Life can feel like you're juggling a thousand things at once, especially when you're learning as you go.Hi, I'm Brittney.I provide online and phone counselling to women, parents/carers, and teens who are experiencing stress, anxiety, burnout, and low self-esteem; to adult survivors of childhood trauma who are navigating parenting; and more. My interest areas include women's life transitions, pre- and post-natal wellbeing, adult survivors of childhood trauma, and holistic wellness. My counselling approach is overall eclectic and integrative. I utilise aspects of CBT, ACT, attachment theory, mindfulness, movement and somatics, narrative therapy, coaching, and more.I am a counsellor with lived experience of childhood trauma, domestic and family violence, solo-parenting, parenting a neurodiverse child, burnout, and postnatal depression and anxiety. In addition to my education, my personal experience has enhanced my capacity for empathy and compassion, particularly in these areas. You will feel safe and heard while sharing your unique story, empowered to achieve your goals, and nurtured through the journey and challenges as they arise. I value curiousity, non-judgement and non-pathologisation.I proudly offer non-discriminatory flat rates for privately paying clients, NDIS participants (self and plan managed in alignment with plan goals), and members of BUPA and ARHG health funds.
