I specialise in supporting people through a compassionate and holistic approach.
With a background in teaching and education, and a Master in Counselling and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), I have experience working with children, adolescents and families. Also interested in supporting women and mothers, as well as those experiencing grief and loss, depression and anxiety.
Grounded in trauma-informed care, I recognise the profound impact of adverse experiences and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment that fosters healing and growth.
Central to my methodology is the person-centered approach, emphasising authenticity and well-being. By fostering an environment of unconditional positive regard, I empower clients to explore their feelings without fear of judgment, facilitating personal growth and self-acceptance.
Incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I aim to address a range of psychological challenges. ACT assists clients in accepting their thoughts and feelings, committing to personal values, and taking action toward a fulfilling life, while CBT focuses on identifying and modifying negative thought patterns to improve emotional well-being. These evidence-based modalities are particularly effective in addressing trauma-related issues and promoting resilience.
