My name is Cheryl Oliver and I started Scribble Health on the Central Coast, to follow my passion for helping children who experience a range of difficulties in their earlier years. I have a passion for the field of art therapy, therapeutic art making, and art for health, wellness, strength- building, healing and social transformation.
Scribble Health specialises in children ages 5-12 years where mental health is enhanced through a nurturing, holistic approach using both modern and ancient practices to support well-being. Mindfulness, meditation and positive psychology are all part of my approach which emphasise my strengths-based and person-centred practice.
I combine a unique blend of skills and expertise as a Counsellor, Art Therapist and Primary School Teacher to help children and adults reach their full potential. I create a safe and welcoming space for people to learn about themselves, process their thoughts and emotions and grow into who they want to be. I am committed to supporting my clients to discover their own strengths, guiding them to personal insights of self- discovery that can empower and heal.
I offer group programs which are designed to cater for specific areas of need for Primary aged children. Through a combination of Art Therapy and Counselling I facilitate a creative way to help clients externalise their thoughts and feelings in a gentle, non-threatening way.
I am dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and implementing effective group programs that focus around topics of Separation and Divorce, Self Esteem & Resilience, Anxiety and Stress Reduction.
If you would like to discuss your concerns or those of your child, please feel free to give me an obligation free call on 0410821443. I offer Individual Counselling and Art Therapy in my home studio at Noraville and am available on Saturday mornings for appointments from 8.30-12:30pm. Group programs are held in a local venue by the lake in a calm and peaceful environment.
