I'm inspired when someone acknowledges they are grappling with personal issues, and has the courage and conviction to seek professional support. It's an acknowledgement, an acceptance that their usual ways of dealing with things are not working...
I'm here to support you to better understand, process and adapt to your situation - to feel less distressed, more alive, capable and fulfilled as a person. I want to help you thrive.
Changing your life can be challenging, however it can be
immensely rewarding. It can allow you to live life in ways you've never done
or never even thought about before.
I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to your health and well-being. I offer various, evidence-based therapeutic modalities; there is no “one-way” of counselling or psychotherapy.
Why Work with Me?
I'm a middle-aged son, brother, long-married husband and father of teenage sons, who tree-changed to regional NSW several years ago. I've experienced a great variety of the ups and downs life has to offer, which informs my compassionate, empathic understanding of my clients.
Over the past few years, I've worked as a voluntary and
paid Crisis Supporter with Lifeline. I convene a men's support group, and facilitate groups on managing problematic emotions and behaviour. I hold a master’s degree in counselling (AIPC), am a professional member of the
ACA (Level 2). I also hold a certificate in coaching
(ICC), a graduate diploma in sociology (UTS), and a bachelor’s degree in
economics (USYD).
