Delaney has had experience working with a diverse group of clients from adolescents, adults and couples, in empowering and supporting clients through the issues of trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and life transitions. Delaney values being able to listen to your story and understand what makes you 'you', to help you become more resilient and be equipped to navigate life's different challenges well. Having been born in Australia to immigrant parents, Delaney understands the benefits and challenges of cultural diversity experienced by the next generation.
My counselling style is an integrative approach grounded in Existential/Person-Centred Therapy where I work alongside my clients in a safe, understanding & respectful space to grow in self-awareness and improve overall functioning. I also draw upon CBT, ACT and Solution-Focused interventions to equip you with the necessary tools towards personal restoration.
As each client is unique, I adopt a flexible, individualised approach by getting to know you & understand how I can work with you on achieving your therapy goals. While I am a committed Christian & am able to integrate spirituality into my practice, I will also respect the autonomy of all clients regardless of their age, cultural & religious backgrounds.
