Salayeh is a dynamic and compassionate professional with over a decade of experience specialising in trauma recovery, somatic therapy, addiction recovery coaching, and relationship counselling. As a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Salayeh is committed to empowering individuals and families through evidence-based therapeutic approaches that foster resilience, healing, and personal growth.
Salayeh’s expertise includes working with individuals who have experienced sexual trauma, intimate partner violence, and familial abuse. She is adept at addressing complex emotional, relational, and mental health challenges through innovative and integrative practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and somatic experiencing. These approaches are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, providing a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
As the CEO and Founder of Heartarise.com.au, Salayeh has successfully supported over 200 clients, achieving a 90% client satisfaction rate. Her programs emphasise nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and self-determined living, integrating neuroscience, creative arts therapies, and coaching techniques. She has designed and facilitated numerous transformational programs for individuals, couples, and groups, both in person and online. These self-made programs empower participants to heal from trauma, build creative resilience, and cultivate meaningful relationships with themselves and others.
Salayeh is also a recognised sexuality and relationship therapist, guiding individuals and couples through intimacy challenges, emotional disconnection, and relational barriers. Her trauma-informed care helps survivors of sexual trauma reconnect with their bodies and foster healthy, fulfilling relationships. Her dedication to cultural competence ensures that her services are inclusive and sensitive to the diverse needs of her clients.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Salayeh is a skilled addiction recovery coach, specialising in relapse prevention and emotional regulation strategies. She has a proven track record of helping clients navigate substance use challenges, rebuild their lives, and develop sustainable coping mechanisms.
Her leadership extends beyond individual care. Salayeh has directed impactful community initiatives, including the “Stories from the Inside” justice storytelling project, where she collaborated with over 20 non-profits to advocate for systemic reform. Her advocacy efforts have raised awareness of systemic injustices and contributed to culturally sensitive, restorative justice solutions.
Salayeh’s academic achievements further demonstrate her commitment to professional growth. She holds a Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Therapy from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Edith Cowan University. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Modern-Day Slavery and Human Trafficking, complementing her extensive certifications, including Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), Gottman Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), and advanced training in trauma-informed care, and many other modalities.
