My present occupation is Clinician (Benestar Group) and Adjunct Academic (University of South Australia Business School). I am an accredited mental health social worker, member of the Australian Counselling Association and its College of Supervisors and member and Director of the Rotary Club of Adelaide. I continue to work on the National Research Committee for the AASW, and have been doing this for 4 years.My clinical roles have included work with Aboriginal people in South Australia and Northern Territory, Torres Strait Islander people in far north Queensland, people with disability, people in crisis, workplace critical incident support and employee assist counselling. My academic qualifications include PhD Business (Monash University, 2004), Master of Social Work (University of South Australia, 2014), Diploma of Counselling (Australian Institute of Professional Counselling, 2016), Graduate Certificate in Education (University of South Australia, 2010) and Certificate in Leadership (University of South Australia, 2009).My academic publications span social policy and issues, employment counselling, disability housing, rural recruitment, health and well-being and business management, and disability housing (https://www.linkedin.com/in/liz-hemphill-b205911/)I have served as a non-executive board director for 8 years with Finding Workable Solutions Inc, a non-government disability employment organisation now part of the MOBO Group.
