Filiz Mortimer

Filiz currently holds a Masters of Health Education and is an accredited Rainbow Counsellor (specialising in LGBTIQ+ issues). Filiz has also worked as a relationship counsellor and educator for over 1 years. Filiz counsels children, adults and couples. She has extensive experience of working therapeutically 20 clients facing trauma, addiction issues, workplace concerns, anxiety and/or depression, and grief and loss. Filiz has also worked extensively with families experiencing domestic violence. Filiz works from a strength-based approach and her therapeutic methods include: Narrative, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Systemic, Attachment and Re-unification, Short-term solution focused, Somatic regulation and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Filiz has also co-facilitated Stopping Family Violence programs, accredited Circle of Security Parenting Facilitor, as well as post-separation and co-parenting courses. Filiz is also an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association.
