Hi! I'm Hollie.
I'm
a United States emigre that has spent the majority of my adult life in
international waters. Before retraining as a counsellor, I worked for 10
years as an educator and trainer in Japan and Melbourne.
Working
with students from a variety of cultures and life experiences only
deepened my curiosity towards the human experience. I have learned that
although we all have different perspectives and ways of being, many of
us just want the same thing - understanding, acceptance, and compassion.
I
came into counselling so that I could help people share their stories,
and empower them to make positive changes in their lives.
I
offer my clients an open and non-judgemental space where they can work
through challenges, personal dilemmas, or just feelings of being
‘stuck’. I believe that counselling should not only be a place for
crisis intervention and management, but also a place where you can
obtain support for the everyday ‘stuff’ that we all have.
I
enjoy working with people in developing self-awareness and self-trust.
When we make sense of the stories we tell ourselves, we can begin to
learn why we might behave the way we do, and what we can do about it. I
support my clients with evidence-based strategies and practices that can
help them find clarity and create a life they love. All humans welcome!
