I am  a skilled  professional  counsellor  , supporting individuals , couples and families  and  I am a registered member with the Australian Counselling Association  I have worked  in not-for-profits and Government organisations in the past helping individuals navigate life challenges and sudden obstacles ,  and  now focusing on my  own private practice and have  a special interest in relationships and  effective communication. I  will assist  you to build a happier and more rewarding life balance by carefully and attentively listening to your concerns and increasing coping strategies.I am   passionate about helping people make positive changes and gain control of their lives.   and  with my warm and relaxed approach  I   encourage   clients to explore  fears and beliefs using practical tools and strategies that can help with negative thought processes and reprogramming rigid or limited thoughts and beliefs. My counselling sessions are supportive and practical to assist clients to find their strengths and  achieve goals , personal and professional.I incorporate therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive- Behavioural Therapy and Solution -Focused Therapy in my counselling sessions and use The Gottman Therapy techniques for couples counselling that is designed to help couples strengthen relationships , replace negative conflict patterns with positive interactions and to repair past hurts.Located  at Belmont  Shine offers one on one  counselling , couples counselling ,family counselling  and assistance with work issues  and  personal barriers that maybe affecting your personal and professional  life. We provide mentoring  to  school leaver’s transitioning  from High school  and assistance  to identify and explore career  options and training.Shine also supports NDIS and can assist participants one on one   with Improved  Relationships Therapeutic Supports , Assistance with Daily Living Skills , Community Participation and employment related Assessment  Counselling and goal setting.Shine also assists with Resume and Cover  letter writing , interview preparation and effective work place communication .After hours and weekend appointments available I can also assist NDIS Self or Plan Managed Participants  with counselling , Community Support ,Social Support and employment related counselling and goal settinglook me up on facebookCounselling at Shine I provide face to face, walk and talk therapy  and phone counselling .
