Janelle is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong educational background in counselling and pastoral care. She is a qualified counsellor with a Bachelor of Applied Social Science in Counselling and certificates in Chaplaincy & Pastoral Care and Christian Ministry & Theology. Currently pursuing a Master of Counselling at ACOM.
Janelle's passion for helping others extends beyond her academic pursuits. With over 7 years of volunteering on a telephone counselling helpline, she has honed her skills in providing empathetic and supportive assistance to those in need. She is deeply committed to her local community, where she works with marginalised populations and those experiencing hardship, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Additionally, Janelle devotes her time to a local primary school, ensuring that children have access to breakfast once a week.
Janelle can see individuals and couples and is available for face to face or Telehealth counselling sessions Monday to Wednesday and sessions via Telehealth only on Thursday and Friday. Her compassionate and empathetic nature allows her to address a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relational issues and conflict and religious and spiritual trauma. Her diverse background and extensive experience make her a valuable resource for those looking to navigate life's challenges with a compassionate and understanding guide.
