A professional counsellor with a wealth of clinical experience
spanning several years.
Holding a Diploma in Counselling, I have demonstrated
expertise in a variety of specialized areas, having completed advanced studies
in Abuse Counselling, Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Working with Children and
Adolescents, Relationship Counselling and Conflict Resolution, as well as
Implementing Trauma-Informed Care and Practices and Foundation in Autism for
Mental Health Professionals. Currently pursuing a Masters in Counselling at ECU,
dedicated to continuous professional growth and development.
As a member of the Australian Counselling Association and have
a wealth of experience working across diverse settings with clients of all
ages, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Recognized for an unwavering commitment to client advocacy, empowering individuals
through sessions, and providing psychoeducation to foster deeper self-understanding
and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is characterized by a compassionate
and client-centred philosophy aimed at helping individuals achieve their
fullest potential. Drawing upon a wide array of evidence-based techniques such
as Mindfulness-Based Therapies, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT),
Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I address
the root causes of clients' difficulties, offering personalized interventions
tailored to their unique needs.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m deeply involved in the
disability sector, offering support to individuals facing developmental,
physical, sensory, cognitive, and behavioural challenges. With specialized
experience in working with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay
(GDD), and related mental health issues, I’m skilled in implementing
behavioural management strategies, motivational interviewing, and assisting
clients in decision-making processes.
My dedication to facilitating long-lasting change and
fostering positive outcomes is evident in my collaborative and empathetic
approach to counselling. Whether working with NDIS clients, athletes, or
individuals navigating personal challenges, my expertise and compassionate care are pillars of transformative growth and healing. I endeavour to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and lead more fulfilling lives through my work.
