Jarel (he/him) seeks to bring a warm, respectful and non-blaming approach to counselling and community work. Jarel is passionate about Narrative Therapy which centres people as the experts in their own lives. Jarel appreciates the opportunity to view problems as separate from people and co-researching the skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that people have to reduce the influence of problems in their lives. Jarel has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families for 10 years. He is registered with Medibank Private, Bupa, HCF and the Australian Regional Health Group (ARHG). Other funds may provide cover for counselling; please confirm your entitlements with your provider. Sessions with Jarel are also available under WorkCover NSW and the NDIS.Jarel enjoys learning the stories of people’s lives and supporting them as they negotiate with grief, depression, trauma, stress, anxiety, deconstructing and reconstructing spirituality, considerations of identity and sexuality, challenges of immigration and ongoing health challenges.
