Joanna (Leng Nar) Chew

Joanna has a Bachelor Degree of Information Technology (Information Systems) from Queensland University of Technology (Australia) and Master in Counselling from Monash University (Australia). She has more than 10 years of experiences in the Information Technology field working in the government and private sector. Currently, she is dedicating herself in giving professional assistance and guidance to individuals in resolving personal or psychological problems. Joanna is member of Golden Key International Honour Society, Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association, and Level 2 member of Australian Counselling Association. Joanna has being working with adults, adolescents and children who faced a range of issues including anxiety, challenges with relationships and stress. She has worked with Special Education Needs (SEN) children using Expressive Art techniques. Her work uses evidence based psychological therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. Her goal in her therapy work is to help people understand and manage their challenges, and to identify effective strategies for moving forward. Her specialties are with adults and children who experienced challenges in coping with emotional, psychological, social, environmental and issues arising from family, school and work environment.
