Located in beautiful Far North Queensland, I provide counselling in the areas of end-of-life, grief and loss, pet loss, depression, anxiety, and work-related issues. Life experience has led to a passion for end-of-life support for both people and pets.
With additional qualifications as an end-of-life Doula, Animal Companion Celebrant â„¢ and Animal Companion Doula, I can also provide end-of-life services such as people and pet doula support, along with funerals and celebrations of life for your pet.
The loss of a close family member brought about so many questions and a lack of information. The support offered within the system is great, but specific information about the process was lacking. Having someone there who could explain it and provide much needed support and education, would have been a real help through such a difficult time.
As an animal lover, many times I have had to make the difficult decision regarding euthanasia, and one occasion in particular, witnessed the traumatic death of a beloved family dog. We often feel belittled and judged when we struggle to cope with the grief and often, guilt, relating to the loss of a pet. There is a loneliness after the loss of a pet that sometimes others don’t understand. Having access to unbiased support can go a long way to helping us heal.
By providing the services I do, I hope to support others while they are going through the pain that I have felt so many times myself. If what I do can give someone even a small amount of comfort and knowledge that they are not alone in what they are going through, it makes what I do so worth it.
