Kate is dedicated to helping others and empowering them to live a fulfilling life. She has an empathetic and warm therapeutic style, and values an integrated approach to mental health and wellbeing. She has worked in health and wellness industry for more than 10 years.Kate works from a person-centred framework to help clients adjust to and cope with difficulties that are arising in their life. Kate can assist clients who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, addiction and substance use issues, and relationship concerns.Kate incorporates techniques from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness.In addition to her training as a counsellor, Kate is also an experienced yoga, mindfulness and meditation teacher.Kate is a qualified counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association (Level 2) and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia. She holds a Master of Counselling. Through her career, she has completed placement working with young people within a secondary college setting, and has experience in intake and assessment.
