My background is in psychological therapies, having studied and trained to Masters of Clinical Psychology level at the University of Tasmania. During this time, I was a member of the research group based at the Department of Psychiatry, Royal Hobart Hospital, working primarily with anxiety, phobias and depression. I worked with people with spider phobia, obsessive compulsive disorders and as a counsellor in palliative care. My interests and experience grew to include working with people with gambling addictions, relationship difficulties and well-being counselling at Relationships Australia Tasmania. I came to Western Victoria in 2011 to work further with addictions in a rural community health setting and developed an interest in working with horses as co-facilitators in the therapeutic relationship. I enjoy supporting people to experiment with different ways of re-regulating their nervous systems, to help manage stress and anxiety. I provide both room-based, outdoor and equine assisted therapies and I am happy to offer counselling by phone and video. I am a member of the ACA College of Supervisors having trained in the Rise Up Model.
