As a woman who has chosen a career in supporting others, I have an unwavering passion in assisting women to navigate areas of challenge, growth and change. Women’s experiences in the modern world are multidimensional, complex and unique.
I approach my sessions from a Person-Centred framework. I do this utilising goal-orientated strategies, evidenced-based practice and client-tailored interventions. We will explore the biopsychosocial contributing factors to your current challenges, using a mix of best practice therapies including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotional Regulation, Family Systems Therapy, Attachment Base Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. My therapeutic work and approaches are underpinned by Trauma Informed Practice using strengths-based framework seeing survivors as unique, coping the best way they can after enduring extremely abnormal circumstances. Trauma informed practice is founded on five core principles – safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment as a respect for diversity. As a humanistic and holistic counsellor these core principles are at the very heart of my work.
