. I am a Specialist Family Violence Counsellor for adults and children who have experience FV. I am passionate about Counselling and supporting people who are experiencing challenging times with their mental health, family violence, disabilities, trauma related issues, addictions, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, grief and loss, life challenges, parenting skills, sexual abuse and childhood trauma, healthy/unhealthy relationships, work or carer challenges and everyday stress. I support clients through building on their strengths and teaching strategies to further develop their self-esteem, confidence and improve coping skills, giving clients a voice to feel heard and walking alongside them through their healing journey to reach their goals. I have 12 years’ experience in the Domestic Violence sector working with trauma and mental health issues with both adults and children. I am highly motivated and compassionate, with strong values and ethics, always working with the best interest of the clients. I work from a Client Focused, Person Centred, strength-based, trauma informed approach. Using the following interventions: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Brief and Solution Focused Therapies, Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), Art Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Safe Space Breathing, Havening, and other grounding breathwork.I have some flexibility with my days and hours if you are working. I have a sliding scale with my fees if you hold a health care card. I work online, outreach, telephone, or where the client feels comfortable. Being a good match with my clients is important for me and I believe that we all have within us the capacity to heal and create positive change to reach our full potential.
