Registered Counsellor | Psychotherapist | Registered NurseI am a Registered Counsellor and Registered Nurse who offers psychotherapy to both individuals and couples. Working holistically to deliver trauma-informed, client-centred therapy that incorporates both the mind and body, I have a warm, empathetic, and down to earth manner that aims to inspire an open, honest, and compassionate therapeutic space. I believe in utilising a person-centred approach to provide a safe and exploratory space to help clients become curious about themselves without judgement in the hopes to begin processing their trauma and move towards healing. With an extensive background working in the public health system across a variety of settings and supporting people across the lifespan, I am experienced at being attuned to the individual needs of my clients. This includes those with diverse cultural backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and those who identify as LGTBQIA+. I strive to create a strong therapeutic alliance to allow the client to explore their inner worlds and lived experiences.I am dedicated to working collaboratively with my clients in seeking the therapeutic technique that best suits the individual client. I utilise an integrative approach by utilising a range of evidence based therapeutic techniques drawn from, but not limited to Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness.I offer psychotherapy for grief and loss, acute and chronic illnesses, relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment to parenthood, work and career challenges, and adjustment to change across the lifespan. I also have a passion for working with older people and helping to achieve positive change and growth for the older population.I provide face to face psychotherapy in clinic (Sunbury location), via online consultations and I also offer a mobile service in special circumstances, such as when a client’s physical impairment may limit their mobility to attend appointments in person at the clinic.
