Kim Pearce

Kim has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Jansen Newman Institute in Sydney. She conducts her private counselling practice at 2 sites: Newport and Crows Nest at the Well for Life Centre. Concurrently she is the Coordinator of cancer support group leaders program at the Cancer Council NSW. Kim works with clients to build an effective working relationship, aiming to support them, to examine and understand their lives. Acting on that awareness, to find solutions to develop their strengths, and take control of their direction in life. She works in a way that is flexible to the needs of her clients; focussing on developing an empathetic understanding, accepting the client for who they are in the moment and holding a genuine regard for their story. Kim draws on narrative and existential practice with particular focus on the discovering what may underpin life limiting beliefs. Kim has a back ground in oncology (cancer) nursing. She has worked as a Nurse Counsellor at the Cancer Council NSW. Through her work she has gained particular experience working with people experiencing grief and loss issues.
