Kris believes everyone is unique, based on their lived experiences, and is therefore ‘the expert of their own life’. Her naturally patient, empathic, caring, and respectful disposition is evident in her counselling practice which she delivers in a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential online environment. Kris is easy-going and uses her active listening skills to quickly establish and build a strong collaborative relationship with her clients based on mutual respect and trust.Her values of compassion, dignity, inclusiveness, integrity, and respect have enabled her to achieve exceptional outcomes for her clients seeking healing and inner peace, by helping them to recognise the opportunity for personal growth, positive perceptual shifts, and enhanced communication skills.Kris is a skilled counsellor, and a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association. She combines her professional knowledge and extensive lived experience (including over 25 years in diverse corporate, government, sports, and private businesses) to provide a holistic and authentic counselling service to individuals experiencing everyday life challenges. Kris is passionate about encouraging and empowering her clients to develop greater self-awareness and strengthen their self-confidence, so they can better interpret their thoughts and feelings, and make informed choices about their behaviours once they better understand the consequences for themselves and others.In practice, Kris applies a genuine client centred, strengths based and solution focused perspective while integrating various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, techniques, and education, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy (NT), solutions focussed therapy (SFT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), internal family systems (IFS), neuroplasticity, and mindfulness.Kris is multi-skilled and an enthusiastic life-long learner who understands the sensitivities of working with individuals from cultural, religious and gender diverse backgrounds. She has extensive experience and is confident working with high functioning intellectuals, clients who have learning difficulties, those with compounded and complex trauma, PTSD, general anxiety, panic attacks, relationship issues, and many with various mental health considerations.Kris welcomes the opportunity to support individuals through their journey of self-reflection, discovery, and personal growth.
