Leanne Broadbent

Leanne has been providing fulltime generalist and family and domestic violence counselling support for individuals and couples for over ten years. She currently works for Anglicare WA Broome.
Living and working in a remote Kimberley community has enriched Leanne's professional work practice and experience. She witnesses the challenges and resilience, joy and hope that Aboriginal families face daily.
Leanne has previously worked in the government sector in nursing/ midwifery (SA); youth work in the high school as well as a women's support officer.
Leanne has a particular interest using Narrative Therapy practices and provides a holistic approach, catering to the preferences and needs of those she works alongside. She also has a keen interest in providing opportunities for men who are struggling with abusive behaviour to learn alternative ways to participate in healthy relationships. Leanne currently co - facilitates a men's behaviour change program.
Leanne enjoys a number of hobbies, including walking the beach and bush, gardening and smiling upon the antics of local birds playing in the water. Mostly though her biggest joy and love is for her children and grandchildren.
