My story started way before Unique Psychology, I majored in Psychology in 2010 in Brazil, from UMESP, but that is also not where my story started. From early age all I knew was that "I wanted to be helpful". When I was five, I told my mom I wanted to be a "brain doctor", according to her I thought sadness was a "thing" I could remove surgically! Unlike my knowledge of how the human body works, my passion for supporting others has not change. I moved to Australia in 2017 with only my partner, two suitcases, our wedding photo album, and a plush toy my mom gave me when I was three. I have worked for a not-for-profit as a Counsellor and Clinical Director offering counselling to farmers and farming families affected by natural disasters and managing a Counselling team for over 2 years, which has thought me a lot about this beautiful country and its peoples, values and culture. I have also started and maintained a private practice in Brazil for two years offering accessible psychological services to vulnerable people.  With more than 15 years of experience in the Health Industry, caring for people and studying a lot, I know that supporting people is my purpose, it is my Ikigai (Ikigai is a Japanese concept referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living.)  Supporting peoples from all walks of life towards a more meaningful and fulfilling life, respecting their experiences, values, history... and everything that comes with it! Offering a warm, compassionate and empathetic approach where no issue is too big or too small. Unique Psychology is a safe space to be, to become, to evolve, to grow, to accept.
