Lisa is a Clinical Counsellor and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with extensive experience in providing counselling to children, adolescents and adults. Lisa provides a safe, supportive and respectful space for people to resolve their difficulties. Lisa provides counselling with children and adolescents who are experiencing, emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and can provide play therapy to assist children to work through their difficulties in a safe and supportive environment. She is also experienced in providing child-parent work for children, adolescents and their parents who may be struggling in their relationship. She has also undertaken specialised training in Theraplay® and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) to assist in strengthening the child-parent attachment relationship, particularly after trauma. Lisa provides counselling to adults who may be experiencing a range of difficulties impacting on their life, including depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, work place issues, pregnancy (perinatal and postnatal mental health) and complex trauma (PTSD). She adopts an evidenced base framework to help people recover from their difficulties with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Narrative therapy, solution focused and strengths based approaches.
