An experienced Counsellor and Professional Supervisor. I am a mature-aged graduate who can utilise both life experiences and transferrable skills from other roles in counselling. My friendly manner and sense of humour, allows me to make transitions and build trust with new clients. My experience is in trauma counselling, and core business has been counselling sexual abuse and trauma for children, teens and for adults. I work comprehensively with acute and historical trauma. Working with children and adults who have been victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, relationship and attachment difficulties, behaviour management, grief and loss, and other disruptive experiences which require understanding, and reflection prior to introducing any changes for client to consider.I am reflective in my counselling practice and encourage my clients to become more mindful, reflective and just slow down to a more natural rhythm, allowing time to process and consider before acting.
