Mandy is an experienced skilled professional who has been
committed to supporting people enjoy a healthy and fulfilling life for many
years. Mandy is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and
supports adolescents, adults and couples with a vast array of concerns. As a
counsellor in an educational setting for many years, she has experience and
understanding particularly of adolescents.

Mandy’s calm and authentic  manner helps clients feel comfortable and
inspired to move from a place of ‘stuckness’ to one of greater clarity,
strength and action. Through deep listening and insight she supports clients to
gain greater self awareness and clarity around issues of concern.  She encourages understanding of past
experiences and feelings or behaviours that may be contributing to ongoing
issues. People all have different strengths and coping mechanisms. Mandy works
with her clients to explore strategies that best fit their personal needs and situation
and helps them feel empowered to move through difficult times.  She encourages creativity to explore  new ways of resolving problems and  provides many strategies and tools to empower clients
to gain clarity about their situation, to deal with painful emotions, and gain
greater motivation to achieve their goals.

Mandy uses a range of counselling techniques in her practice
depending on the therapeutic needs of clients. These include Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness based therapy,
Positive psychology, NLP, Transpersonal counselling and Life coaching
techniques. A sense of being supported and understood, a feeling of relief and
renewed self -belief and confidence, is often how clients describe working with
Mandy.
