Marta Souza Farias is a Counsellor with over ten years of experience working in Mental Health Services, supporting vulnerable people and promoting their mental and emotional wellbeing.
Marta has experience working with a variety of mental health and relationship issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and separation, life challenges and transitions, emotional regulation. She has a strong understanding of attachment theory, play therapy, interplay, neurobiology, trauma, and humanistic intervention. Marta has also completed several certifications, including an Intensive Training Course in Family & Relationship Therapy, Humanistic Play Therapist and Interplay Facilitator Program, Circle of Security Parenting Program.
Marta has experience working alongside women, children and their families to gain insights, resilience, develop tools to support and manage emotions, improve self-esteem and confidence, build healthier relationships and thrive.
Marta builds her practice based on Trauma Informed and Humanistic approach that values safety, trust, compassion, collaboration, acceptance and empowerment. She considers individual needs and choices and offers a safe space where individuals can be heard and share their experiences. Marta believes in the importance of relationships to integrate experience and promote growth.
