Mel is an accredited Masters counsellor with experience as a Special Education teacher and Autism parent that spans decades. She is passionate about connecting with Childhood Developmental Trauma and specialises in trauma therapy and emotional regulation utilising ACT, EFT, IFS, MI, somatic and creative therapies and psychoeducation. She has extensive experience working with children, young adults and their caregivers and is committed to being the safe and empathetic presence that may have felt absent during our most traumatic and difficult times.
Mel thrives on creating, growing, encouraging and connecting and enjoys working with children, persons living with disability and their carers’. She is passionate about Autism and neurodiversity and works outside the clinical room using equine therapy, nature therapy, animals and video gaming as complimentary therapy tools. Her eclectic, person centred approach is based on individual's strengths and resilience and focuses on the experience of the whole person, body, mind and spirit.
