As a Deaf Therapist, I use “behavioural forms” of therapy which are usually short-term and solution focused and a “psychodynamic approach”, a more long term therapy focusing on my client’s background-history, current life experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. This approach helps my clients build both awareness and confidence so they can find new and more helpful ways of responding to others and challenging situations.
I specialise in Trauma with extensive experience spanning across Australia and Germany. Immensely passionate about advocacy for Deaf Mental Health Awareness and access. Collaborating on research to ensure knowledge is shared to make Mental Health a priority for Deaf/HH people in Australia.
