- Diploma of Counselling: Recently graduated (October 2024) from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors after 18 months of in-depth studies.
My training focused on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Approaches, Stress Management, and Emotional Regulation Techniques.
- Residential Youth Work Experience: I worked for 4 months at the end of my studies in out-of-home residential care for children and adolescents, supporting children with diverse needs, severe trauma, and most diagnosed with ADHD or ASD.
This hands-on experience allowed me to provide 1-on1 therapy in a residential setting, while also living alongside these children and witnessing the challenges of emotional dysregulation and severe outbursts firsthand.
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI): Highly trained in TCI techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with care and empathy.
- Passionate About Parenting and Child Development: I am deeply committed to supporting families and am currently expanding my expertise through additional courses with AIPC, such as Working with Children and Adolescents and Child Development and Effective Parenting. This ongoing learning reflects my dedication to growing as a counsellor and better serving families.
While I am still fresh in the field, my personal experiences and passion for child development give me unique insight into the challenge’s families face. My approach is compassionate, strengths-focused, and tailored to each family's needs, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
