Following a corporate career in human resources for the past 25 years, I have always enjoyed helping others with their personal challenges, so I decided to make a career change and become a Registered Counsellor. Having graduated from Monash with a Masters in Counselling, following the completion of a Psychology undergraduate degree from Swinburne, (as well as a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in HR from my previous career), I may have the qualifications but what I really enjoy is getting to know my clients and how I can help them make a difference in their lives. My intuitive ability to help client's identify and make sense of their challenges and issues and then work towards a collaborative way forward that results in a more fulfilling life, is a strength I really enjoy and leverage from. Working with adolescences through to adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, stress and other related conditions, I listen, seek to understand and focus on building trust before developing a treatment plan that is uniquely focused on the individual, leveraging from a variety of different therapies such as CBT, ACT, MBCT, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Gottman's Couples Therapy, EFT (Tapping). If you're interested in having an initial discussion, I am available for a 15 minute consult so you can ascertain if I could be the right counsellor for you.
