Nikki has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Counselling and a Certificate in Art Therapy Skills. Her approach is essentially person-centred and needs-led, whilst combining appropriate elements of cognitive-behavioural and solution focussed methodology.Nikki has had particular experience in working with adult substance use and supporting youth at risk, specifically: Young people affected by substance abuse – their own or others’; Young offenders; Families affected by self-harm; Families, their children and young people on the autistic spectrum.Additionally, Nikki has experience in supporting families and individuals affected by Cancer, and has been a previous trustee of Ovacome, the UK Ovarian Cancer Support Charity. She also has hospice experience, skills and training in supporting those affected by loss and grief. Nikki is a Counsellor at Headspace and a part of the 'InSync for Life' counselling and facilitation team based in Bunbury and Busselton, WA.
