NDIS registered provider(M.A.) is a qualified Art Therapist and a Trauma informed Counsellor. She and also a mental health practitioner employed by Mind Australia, experienced in providing community, counselling and therapy services to clients and families dealing with mental health disabilities.Nikoo has a great commitment to providing the high standard of quality care to individuals who are suffering from mental illness. She is a trained Cognitive Processing Therapy practitioner working on recovery from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Nikoo implements recovery oriented practice to support her clients through their pathway of recovery. Other theoretical frameworks she implements in her sessions are including client/person centred concerning not to violate her clients' border of tolerance. ​In her professional role as the mental health practitioner, Nikoo assists her clients to maintain their treatment regimes, monitoring their mental health and safety. She is aware of cultural responsive framework and employs a sensitive practice in working with individuals from different backgrounds.As a CPT practitioner, Nikoo assists her clients who fight against PTSD to recognise their stocking points in their recovery and leads her clients to process their unknown emotions.She also facilitates workshops, groups, and one on one art therapy sessions to assist clients to thrive and grow from their trauma and psychological struggles. She has been using variety of materials and different forms of arts in her therapy sessions wherein clients can explore and choose the method they are most comfortable with and find best to connect to. She is a fine artist herself and works with ceramic and wide range of other materials to both express and regulate her feelings.
