Are you feeling anxious & afraid, not knowing why? Feeling stressed & overwhelmed? Are you frustrated with relationships, locked in the same unhealthy patterns of relating to others? Do you feel the criticism & disapproval of others? Feeling frustrated & annoyed, shocked at the intense power of your anger & rage? Do you wonder at the point of all of this, asking why am I here? Does the voice inside your head constantly put you down? We understand that life can be difficult. That’s when psychotherapy & counselling can help you manage these difficulties and offer strategies for moving forward.
We offer psychotherapy for adults and young people (aged 8 onward). We work with individuals, parents, couples and families. Over the years we have developed a speciality working with men and adolescent boys. With 30 years’ experience working with young people, we understand the complexities of being a teenager. Many clients seek support for ADHD, and we work with parents, teachers, schools, paediatricians and psychiatrists to provide holistic treatment plans to maximise medication and non-medication support strategies and improve classroom and social supports for your child or teenager. Adult clients with a late ADHD diagnosis or non-diagnosis can explore how living long term with ADHD impacts work life, relationships, and emotional regulation (anger), receiving practical strategies for managing and thriving.
Our approach to supporting people is evidence based, using scientific models of Psychology. We are person-centred & offer a safe and friendly space.
Seeking help can be scary. I remember the first time I reached out and found a therapist to help me–it was one of the hardest things to do. Start by finding someone you trust & are comfortable with. I know what it feels like to face challenges in life, it's painful & distressing. I also recognise the excitement in gaining new insights in being fully human.
