Hello! I’m glad you found me in your search for a counsellor. It’s really important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with.Wherever you find yourself right now, good counselling can help you. Therapy can help us feel stronger and more able to cope with life, to better understand our present and past challenges, and accept ourselves, even our fears and shortcomings. It can help us change how we feel, how we think about ourselves and others, and how we behave. It can help us strengthen our relationships and make a healthy, meaningful life for ourselves.Working with adults from all walks of life, I see people going through a wide range of unique experiences. Some of the challenges I work with include (but are not limited to):• Relationship stress• Life transitions throughout adulthood (eg. pregnancy & loss of pregnancy; parenting; divorce; loss of parents; caring for loved ones; perimenopause; loss of sense of self; feeling stuck and ‘lost’; midlife challenges)• Concerns about alcohol use/misuse, and other substances• Mood and anxiety• Anger/ difficulty regulating emotions• Pre-marital & couple counselling (using the highly effective Gottman Method)Despite the challenges, my clients find themselves laughing in sessions as often as there might be tears. My counselling process includes a focus on strengths, hope, our innate ability to cope, and problem-solving a path to a brighter future.I am university trained, and use a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy.I would love to meet you! I’m happy to have a 30 minute (free) video conference as a way to initially connect and talk about what you’re looking for from counselling and how I might be able to help, so contact me now to arrange a time that suits you.My office is at The Gap (Brisbane). I also offer online video-conferencing, providing excellent flexibility. Fees:Individuals:Face-to-face sessions cost $110 for 60 minutesOnline sessions cost $100 for 60 minutes Couples: $120 - $150 for 75-90 minute session (depending on couple's needs and circumstances)
