As a registered ACA counsellor, I am experienced in providing assessment, counselling, and interventions across the life span. I am a private contractor at BayWellbeing, where I offer evidence-based counselling to children and adults for anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, building self-esteem and confidence, and alcohol and other drug counselling. In addition, I work with children and young people with Autism and ADHD helping them develop healthy coping strategies and communication skills. I also work part-time as a School Counsellor and Wellbeing Officer at Taylors College, Sydney, where I support and promote social and emotional development for students in individual counselling or group settings. I focus on student welfare and retention within the college. I developed and continue to manage the “Student Wellness Hub” to provide online resources for mental health support. I also facilitate crisis intervention and prevention programs.I work from an individualised, holistic, and integrative approach, using evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Strengths Based Approach, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).In my previous 20-year career, I was a university Teacher and Subject Coordinator, where I researched, developed, and implemented subjects, and mentored students for education and career preparedness.I am passionate about providing quality counselling services and committed to helping clients reach their goals. I collaborate effectively with all care team members and respond promptly to client and organisation requests. I am compassionate, adaptable, and experienced in working in a diverse multicultural setting.
