As a counsellor and psychotherapist my approch is creative, mindfulness, strength based, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), I am skilled in the application of a range of evidence based psychological; therapies including Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), client centred therapeutic approach, therapy, utilizing goal - orientated maintaining that the client is the expert in their own experience, focussing on what the client wants to work on. As a Certified Autplay Therapist, I have specialised training in play and behavioural therapy approach that helps children who struggle specifically with attention problems, hyperactivity, emotional dysregulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders. My other specialties include anxiety, depression, behavioural issues, and mental health. I bring warmth and mindfulness into the therapeutic space.I have worked with young adolescents and facilitated individual counselling and group work. Using a combination of art therapy, trauma psycho-education. The purposes of the workshops were to address the incredibly high rates of suicide, suicide grief and intergenerational trauma within diverse groups. I have worked at the Women’s Health Centre, as a generalist counsellor, working closely with women and children escaping Family and domestic violence in a client centred therapy.
