Robert has 20 years of experience working in the community services sector using a person-centred, strengths-based and recovery-orientated approach. His therapeutic orientation aligns with humanistic philosophy: that we have an Inner healing intelligence – the knowledge and power within oneself to move towards wholeness; and an Actualising tendency – an innate motivation to live in accordance with our true nature. Robert draws from Gestalt Therapy, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Mindfulness-Based practices and Lived experience. Through Compassionate Inquiry, Present-Centred Awareness and Trauma-Informed Care Robert believes one’s equilibrium can be restored to homeostasis, enjoying health and vitality. Robert counts it a privilege to guide and witness the transformation of his clients. Robert has a Diploma of counselling and is currently studying a Master’s of Gestalt Therapy. Activities Robert finds fulfilling are breath work, ecstatic dance, meditation and enduro mountain biking.
