Horse Talk Australia - Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Counselling Service
Robyn Reed founder and principal practitioner at Horse Talk Australia is based in Violet Town and provides support services for Victoria's Central & Northeast district, in addition to offering Telehealth Counselling appointments for greater accessibility.
Currently, I have no waiting list and can accommodate urgent crisis care when needed. My approach is person-centred, strengths-focused, and trauma-informed, ensuring that each client receives support tailored to their unique needs. I utilise evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), somatic psychotherapy, experiential learning and mindfulness practices, to support individuals in cultivating self-awareness, emotional regulation, and personal resourcing to address various aspects of well-being, including cognitive, emotional, behavioural, relational, and even spiritual dimensions.
Through experiential learning in a nature-based environment, with or without the horses, I aim to help clients understand how trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, symptoms of PTSD or change of life, affects their unique situation and circumstances. I support clients to gain insight into how that trauma manifests and impacts their life and assist with developing strategies that encourage them to take responsibility for their growth, self-discovery, and positive mental health outcomes in a safe and welcoming space.
