My name is Ron Tripp and I am an ACA registered professional counsellor and psychtherapist. At present I provide telehealth/videoheath counselling support for individuals via Zoom on Thurdays and Fridays,9am -7pm (and open to discussing other days/times as needed).Having completed a 13-year tenure in my role as a sexual health counsellor at Sydney Sexual Health Centre in Sydney, I'm eager to resume and build my private practice from my new home in Central Coast, NSW and will limit my practice to telehealth/videoheatlh support for the time-being (and again am open to discuss face-to-face counselling as needed). As a foundation to my practice, I utilise a client-centred and process oriented approach. Depending on the needs of my client, I incorporate aspects of ACT Therapy (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness, CBT(Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and draw from various therapeutic modalities when appropriate.I was raised in New Mexico and later moved to San Francisco, CA, where I received a B.A. in Psychology with an emphasis on Human Sexuality studies at SFSU. I moved to Sydney in 2002 and received a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. I worked at ACON (AIDS Council of NSW) as a counsellor and group facilitator until 2009. I am a clinical member of The ACA, PACFA and SCaN (Sexual Health Counsellors of NSW). Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and hope you're looking after your emotional and mental health as best you can.
